Hydroelectric Power Plant

When water is accumulated in dams, potential energy is added to the water. The potential energy of the water turns into kinetic energy when the water is released from a height. The fast flowing water turns turbines and the movement of the turbines drives a generator to generate electricity. Visitors pump water into a pool at the top of a high tower. They then open a valve and release the water to flow through a turbine to power a street lamp.
