Garbage and Recycling
IC_02-02The visitor will find 5 augmented reality containers with categories of waste described on the touch screen. Some white, unmarked physical waste objects are present in the storage area. The visitor can scan them with RFID IDs to see exactly what they are. The waste objects symbolize different categories. Visitors should try to throw the waste objects into the correct container as soon as possible. The virtual containers will show in red or green whether they put the object in the right (green) or wrong (red) container.

Geothermal Energy
E_12-02Visitors control a geothermal heating/cooling system to see how heat is transferred from its source through heat pumps and heat exchangers, and ultimately how a building is heated and supplied with electricity. The heat exchange system and electricity distribution are represented by LED lighting. Visitors change seasons (winter to summer and vice versa) represented on a moving disk (graphic backdrop) that switches the system from heating to cooling (and vice versa) to match seasonal weather conditions.

It provides ease of doing business in daily life. Visitors ride 3-4 people inside the closed spherical volume. The other visitor pulls on the ropes and tries to lift them.

Global Warming Potential
AF_12-02There are 4 circles for each greenhouse gas on the table. The temperature felt in the circles varies according to the rate of impact of the respective greenhouse gas on global warming. The order from the hottest circle to the least hot is as follows: phosphorus gases, nitrous oxide, methane and carbon dioxide. On and around the map of the world on the table, the proportion of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is shown with LEDs.

IC_16-02The unit is shaped like a podium with light boxes and the images contained in each box. The boxes are pressure sensitive and give a sound/light warning. The aim is to avoid stepping on the boxes with images representing “harmful” content and to complete the walk by stepping on the boxes with “useful” content.

H_06-02Visitors will activate the airflow by pressing the button. The visitor will observe the lifting of the wing under the influence of the air flow or wind force. E_11-02When water is accumulated in dams, potential energy is added to the water. The potential energy of the water turns into kinetic energy when the water is released from a height. The fast flowing water turns turbines and the movement of the turbines drives a generator to generate electricity. Visitors pump water into a pool at the top of a high tower. They then open a valve and release the water to flow through a turbine to power a street lamp.
